The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has released the list of shortlisted officers for the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Oral Interview.
The officers, currently on Salary Grade Level 16, are seeking promotion to the post of Director on Grade Level 17.
The development was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday, October 28, 2026, by the Head, Press and Public Relations of the Commission, Ibraheem Zakariyya.
According to the statement, the invitation follows the successful conduct of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the 2026 promotion exercise.
The Commission said the invitation is contained in Circular No. FC.6243/GOV/2026/VOL.II/76, dated 27 October 2026, issued by the Office of the Chairman.
The statement noted that the list of shortlisted candidates, identified by their examination numbers, has been published on the Commission’s official website — http://www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng — while the timetable for the exercise is attached to the circular.
The oral interview is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, November 11 to Friday, November 20, 2026.
The Commission said shortlisted candidates are required to assemble daily at 7:30 a.m. at Eagle Square, in front of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Abuja, for conveyance to the venue in accordance with the timetable.
It further directed all Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to bring the contents of the circular to the attention of all shortlisted candidates under their supervision, including officers serving outside their headquarters and those posted abroad, to ensure compliance.
