Championship Club Middlesbrough has secured a loan deal for Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho from Spanish side sevilla after declining an offer from Italian Serie A side Venezia in favour of a return to England.
Iheanacho was signed by the la liga club on a free transfer six months ago from English Leicester City and has no goal to his name in nine league appearance.
The forward’s only goals were in the Copa Del Rey games against teams in the lower division of Spanish. The former Man City forward is expected to undergo a medical today ahead of the move with the hope of playing a key role in Middlesbrough bid to gain promotion to the premier league.
