Rabiu made the call at the inauguration of the 17th National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechB), Dr Babagana Tella, in Abuja.
The President urged Nigerian engineers to deploy such technologies to support government’s efforts to address Nigeria’s persistent insecurity.
He noted that, insecurity should be treated as a complex system requiring multidisciplinary engineering solutions.
According to Rabiu, engineering is fundamentally about problem-solving and its engagement must be rooted in logic, structure, modeling and evidence-based reasoning to deliver sustainable solutions to complex security challenges.
