The Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC, has commenced online accreditation for officers participating in the 2026 promotion exercise for Salary Grade Levels 14, 15 and 16 in the Federal Civil Service.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Head, Press & Public Relations, Ibraheem Zakariyya, the Commission said the accreditation portal will be open from Friday, 14 August to Friday, 28 August 2026.
According to the Commission, affected candidates are expected to access the portal using login details that will be sent to their registered email addresses.
“The Commission advises all candidates to ensure that their accreditation is completed within the stipulated period.
For the avoidance of doubt, the portal will close on Friday, 28 August 2026 and the deadline will not be extended,” the statement said.
It warned that candidates who fail to complete the process within the deadline will have to re-present themselves for the exercise in 2027.
The FCSC therefore urged candidates to complete their accreditation early and avoid waiting until the closing date.
The Commission also called on Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, to notify all concerned staff, including those serving within and outside their headquarters as well as those on foreign postings, for compliance.
The directive was contained in an official correspondence duly signed by the Honourable Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to a transparent, orderly and timely conduct of the promotion exercise.
All affected candidates and MDAs have been advised to comply fully with the guidelines and timelines provided.
