Federal Ministry of Women Affairs partners Cherie Blair Foundation to uplift millions of women entrepreneurs.


As part of efforts towards transforming the landscape for women entrepreneurs across the nation, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs has entered into partnership with Cherie Blair Foundation.
Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and the Cherie Blair Foundation team, kicked off this collaboration during a high-level signing ceremony at the private residence of the Founder of the Foundation, Cherie Blair.


A statement by the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Jonathan Eze, in Abuja, says the initiative is designed to enhance access to vital training, financial resources, and market opportunities for women-led enterprises throughout Nigeria.
According to the minister, the partnership reflects shared belief of the present administration that empowering women economically is not optional. She maintained that the collaboration will help in building systems of change that will uplift millions of Nigerian women and strengthen the future of the country’s economy.


On her part, Chief Executive Officer Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, Dhivya O’Connor expressed enthusiasm that the new partnership will further help the group make a substantial impact particularly on women in business.
The statement stressed that the partnership will catalyze a new era of economic empowerment for women in Nigeria. It also states that it will leverage the strengths of both organizations to create lasting change in the entrepreneurial landscape.
