I truly believe that people in Abuja deserve better and more responsible leaders not just politicians who want power. It’s not about getting into office, it’s about having trustworthy people who really understand what the people are going through.
Sadly, it seems like anyone can just come into Abuja and do whatever they want, while the original people of the FCT keep losing their ancestral lands every day.
Question is, what will happen to the ordinary FCT indigene in the next 50 years?
I strongly believe that instead of demolishing their homes or relocating them, FCT indigenes should be fully included in the development plans; more or less an integration policy should be developed. This is their land too, and it should be improved for them & not taken from them. Why move them out instead of building up their own communities and integrating them into the system.
Sadly, it seems like many of the leaders from the FCT are not ready for the job.
